Abraham’s Story

Because of your commitment to giving, Abraham’s Story has been translated into 17 Muslim languages.

What if you didn't know that God promised to bring blessing to every family through a descendant of Abraham?

"Go out from your country, your relatives, and your father's household to the land that I will show you.  Then I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you, and I will make your name great, so that you will exemplify divine blessing.  I will bless those who bless you, but the one who treats you lightly I must curse, so that all the families of the earth may receive blessing through you." (Genesis 12:1-3, NET)

Abraham is believed to be the father of monotheism because God called him out of idolatry to put his faith and trust in Him alone.  More importantly, God promised His blessing would flow from the unique relationship He established with Abraham.  Their relationship became the model of every relationship God has established with anyone.

Genesis 12:3 states, "every family of the earth will receive blessing through you." In other words, the covenant of obedient faith God established with Abraham and his descendants initiates a chain of blessings.  This chain of blessings is perpetuated until the Messianic fulfillment of Abraham's seed arrives.

God grants His friendship to Abraham and his descendants in a way that gives all families of the earth access to this same friendship.  When the focus of this relationship shifts from Abraham to Jesus, God's sent Messiah, the inheritance of the covenant becomes the indwelling of the spirit.
