Suhba Groups Expand in the Philippines

In the face of hostility, religious tension, and cultural barriers, the Kingdom is expanding. Aaron, a Suhba Group facilitator in the Philippines, is witnessing this growth firsthand. He is seeing Suhba Groups multiply rapidly throughout his region.

Recently, he was able to attend a two-day Suhba Group Facilitator Training alongside other potential leaders. Together, they grew in their understanding of how to create an open, safe environment for Muslims to discuss their faith alongside the stories of Scripture. These Suhba Groups are essential to give Muslims in this region a place where they feel comfortable asking the hard questions, wrestling with what they believe, and discovering spiritual truths alongside their peers.

And it is happening! Despite the risks, Aaron and his fellow facilitators are committed to creating regular Suhba Group rhythms in their communities. These gifted, compassionate people want to see fellow Muslims grow spiritually. They are already naturally embedded in their communities, giving them ample opportunities to form relationships with Muslims interested in attending Suhba Groups. Aaron is a leader in his community, working at a local school and serving as the President of a Community Association. He is trusted and respected by those around him. His strategic sway in the community is a God-given gift, resulting in even more Muslims feeling safe within his Suhba Group! Another leader is involved in social media, creating momentum through their platform for a female Suhba Group!

The explosion of Suhba Groups in the Philippines is proof that nothing can stop the Holy Spirit’s work. As obstacles and religious tensions rise, spiritual growth is not thwarted. Join us in committing to praying for the Philippines, Aaron and other facilitators, and all Suhba Groups forming in this region. Pray for the Kingdom to expand, Muslim lives to be changed, and these committed workers to be safe in the midst of rising hostility.
